RSS Feed Dates

I'm working on an app utilizing some RSS feeds of a few officials. All is great except I noticed a few feeds have items that appear to be published in the future. Take for example Marti Emerald's feed - there are dates of "28 Apr 2012 2:00:00 -0700" and "6 Oct 2012 2:00:00 -0700"

So far I've noticed this on 3 feeds:
http://www.sandiego.gov/citycouncil/cd7/includes/rss.xml
http://www.sandiego.gov/citycouncil/cd6/includes/rss.xml
http://www.sandiego.gov/citycouncil/cd4/includes/rss.xml

Can someone explain what's going on here and let me know if there's any chance these could get corrected?

    Shane,

    You asked why there are future entries in the council distrcit RSS feeds. When an RSS posting announces some future event, rather than a news posting, the value given in the date field is the event date rather than the date published.
